LBQ: Have you ever been to the zoo? What was your favorite part? What would you like to see at the zoo? After we discussed the question we looked at some toy animals and talked about whether they would be in the zoo or not.

Book: Do Lions Have Trunks? by Richard Powell. The kids laughed at all the illustrations in this book that showed animals with funny traits, such as lions with trunks, and hippos with long tall necks.

Activity: Finish the first two pages in our zoo books.
