Way Out in the Desert

Tuesday Feb. 28th
Welcome: Snake Puzzle.  The children colored a picture of a snake, then cut it into several pieces and tried to put it back together.

LBQ & Graph: What is your favorite thing in the desert?  I was surprised at how many children chose scorpion as their favorite! It got the most votes in each class.

Pledge/Weather/Calendar

Song & Instruments: We sang our saguaro song while the children played along.

Book: Way Out in the Desert by T.J. Marsh and Jennifer Ward.  This is a great counting book. Each pages has a number hidden on it and the kids had a lot of fun trying to find it.

Activity: AZ review.  We did a dot to dot worksheet, a hidden animals worksheet, and we learned about AZ's five C's.  Do you know them? (scroll down for the answer)
