Song: First we discussed how dinosaurs are extinct. We talked about how we can still know about them and what a paleontologist does. Then we sang this song and hunted for bones just like a paleontologist! After, we studied them by deciding which ones were big and which ones were small.

Book: After I asked questions to see what the children could remember, we re-read Meet the Dinosaurs published by DK Readers. We talked about how this is a real story, not pretend.
Activity: a.m. - We colored a page of dinosaurs, which we will next add to our dinosaur land.
p.m. - We finished creating the background of our dinosaur land.
Snack
Review posters. The children took turns pointing to our preschool posters, to show us colors, shapes and numbers.
Review number 3. We made our #3 postcard. The children learned to write the number 3 and the word 3, then they put three stickers on it.
Review Dd: We made the ASL sign for Dd and sang our song. We looked at pictures that begin with the /d/ sound. Then we decorated the letter Dd with dots.
Playtime!
