LBQ: What is your favorite holiday? Instead of just answering the questions, each student got a chance to vote for their favorite holiday and create a class graph of our answers.
Song: We reviewed the song that we learned on Tuesday.
Mr. Turkey
Mr. Turkey's tail is big and wide (spread fingers wide)
He swings it when he walks (move fingers around)
His neck is long (stand on tip toes and stretch neck and head up)
His chin is red (stroke chin)
And he gobbles when he talks (open and close hands while gobbling)

Book: The Silly Turkey Party. This story is about a couple of turkeys who don't want to wake up the farmer. They usually have Thanksgiving with him, but he is sick this year. One by one, all of the animals on the farm come to the turkey's house for Thanksgiving and the noise gets louder and louder. We loved the silly things the animals did for their Thanksgiving celebration!
Activity: We made our handprints into turkeys to decorate your Thanksgiving tables! Everyone had their hands and fingers painted to look like turkeys and then we added on beaks, eyes, waddles and legs. They turned out amazing!

Review: The letter Ll, our colors orange and brown, our pattern ABB, and the number 4.
We add a few extra minutes before heading out to playtime, so we played "Pilgrim, Pilgrim, Indian". We used the rules for "Duck, Duck, Goose" and changed the words. It took a few turns before everyone understood the rules, but once everyone knew what they were supposed to do, we had a blast! It was a great way to practice taking turns, cooperating with our friends, and making sure everyone was included.
