Tuesday, March 8th . Welcome: File Folder Games . LBQ: Which word begins with /n/? nose, ears, mouth; kind, nice, sweet; tree, sky, nature. . Pledge/Weather/Calendar . Song: Old MacDonald Had a Farm First we got out our toy barn, then we talked about what should go in the barn. Each child had something to hold and we added it to the barn as we sang our song. . Action Story: "Chicken Licken" This is the classic story of the chicken who thinks the sky is falling. The kids acted out what was happening as I told the story. These kinds of stories are always fun! . Activities: We finished the cute hand print sheep that we started on Thursday. We also completed a worksheet where the children had to cut out a shape, then glue it in place to the corresponding beginning sound and shape. It is really fun to see how far the children have come using scissors!! . Snack . Review Diamond: Freeze dance! Our favorite activity! First we reviewed our diamond poem, then we danced, jumped, tip toed, and ran around the diamond shape on the floor. We also jumped in, out, on, beside and around the shape. . Shape book: We colored our diamond books. We started with a diamond and turned it into something else! . Playtime
