Song-
"Take Me Out to the Farm"
(To tune of "Take Me Out to the Ballgame")
Take me out to the farm,
Take me out to the cows.
Show me some pigs and bunnies too,
Give me a ride on a pony or two.
Oh, it's so much fun at the farm,
There are so many things I can do.
And I love to listen and hear,
All the neighs, quacks, and moos!
Book- Cock-a-Doodle-Doo by Lorna Read
This fun rhyming story is all about farm animals and their babies. We learn that the baby farm animal has a different name than its mother. A baby goat is called a kid, a baby duck is a duckling, and a baby cow is called a calf, just to name a few.
Activity- Barnyard Babies
We cut, colored, and put in numerical order our barnyard books. The last page asked us to name our favorite baby animal and draw it. We also painted our hands white today and put those hand prints on a piece of construction paper. On Tuesday, we will turn our hand prints into a baby sheep.
