Book: Spring is Here by Taro Gomi. This book shows a year from when a calf is born to when he turns one. We looked at pictures and tried to decide what time of year it was. Spring, Summer, Fall or Winter.
Introduce This Months Fundamentals
Pink and Purple: All of the children found examples of pink and purple around the room.
Oval: Poem
An oval, an oval, it goes all around. (Roll one hand over the other.)
It looks like a circle. (Make a circle with arms over head.)
That fell to the ground. (Let arms fall to the floor and look down with a sad face.)
ABB Pattern: We used our color bears to practice making ABB patterns.
10 Ten: Each child had a turn to choose an action that we all followed TEN times.
