Pledge/ Weather/ Calendar
Song-

In the Desert(To tune of Oh My Darling Clementine)

In the desert, in the hot sun,

Grows a cactus big and tall.

It is green and it is spiny,

It's the best one of them all.

Oh saguaro, oh saguaro,

Oh saguaro cactus.

You are green and you are spiny,

And the strongest of them all!

Book- The Tortoise and the Jack Rabbit by Susan Lowell. This is a fun book and a spin off The Tortoise and the Hare, desert style. This story is a great way to talk about never giving up and always finishing what we start. We even took a little vote to see who the kids thought would win the race before we started the book.
Activity- Desert Animal Chain
We counted and wrote in the number of animals in each chain. We then colored, cut, and glued them in order.
Snack
Fundamentals-
ABC's(we love to sing this in a variety of voices, so next time you sing it with your child, ask them to do it in opera style, dinosaur, whisper, or maybe baby voice!)
Counting 1-20
AABBCC order review
Red/ Pink review
Ww- sing and sign and Ww letter craft painting the letter Ww with watercolors, painting is always so fun for the kids!
Playtime!
We are being a saguaro cactus, strong and green!
