Welcome: Play Dough-Each of the children shaped the first letter of their name, so of them shaped their whole name!
LBQ: How was your weekend? What did you do? We talked about what a "weekend" is. Some of them seemed to understand and others are still trying to understand.
Pledge/Weather/Calendar
Song: We practiced the cactus song again! The children enjoy being tall, strong saguaros!
Book: The 3 Little Javelinas by Susan Lowell. This is a fun take on "The Three Little Pigs" using desert animals. We discussed real and pretend and compared this book to The Cactus Hotel, the book they read last week.
Activity: We added a cactus and blossom to our desert scene.
