Welcome- Shape lacing/Color bears
LBQ- Am- Who is your favorite friend?
Pm- What is your favorite number?
Pledge/ Weather/ Calendar
Song- That's Me, Complete!
I have ten little fingers and ten little toes.
Two little arms and one little nose.
One little mouth and two little ears.
Two little eyes for smiles and tears.
One little head and two little feet.
One little chin, that's ME, complete!
Book- Here Are My Hands by Bill Martin Jr. and John Archambault. A short story about our bodies and how each one of us are special. We have been talking a lot about how we look different, and that makes each one of us so special.
Activity- Creative Art Bag
Decorate our names! We will have this activity once a month where we encourage the kids to decorate something just how they like. We want them to be creative and use the crafts to design something that is unique and reflects them. Look for the project with feathers, noodles, stickers, jewels, beans, string, and whatever else we can find to come home!
Snack- We really appreciate all the yummy, healthy snacks that have been coming in. Your child loves when they bring snack and get to be the HELPER that day!
Fundamentals-
Counting 1-20 with number chart. We then focused on identifying the number 1 and the word one.
#1 Postcard- Each child receives an index card with the number 1(or the # we are focusing on for the month) and the word one(or the number word we are learning) on it. We then trace over the number and number word with a crayon. We put our name on the back of the card, then apply the correct amount of stickers to represent the number.
ABC's- We sing the alphabet with our ABC chart. We love to use a variety of voices to sing the alphabet. Sometimes we might whisper, sing it opera style, or be a dinosaur!
Bb- sing and sign with picture cards of things that start with the letter Bb.
Bb- letter craft using beans to glue on our capital and lower case Bb.
Playtime!
