PM - Who is one of your favorite friends? A lot of them named other kids in the class.

Pledge/Weather/Calendar

Review the rules. The children took turns pointing to one of the rules and explaining what it means.

Song: Head, Shoulders, Knees, and Toes
(Children touch each part of their body as we sing.  Each time we sing the song we get faster until we're going super sonic fast!!)

Poem:
My hands upon my head I place,
On my shoulders, on my face.

Book: My Dad and I by Julio Ricardo Baerga. This book is told by a boy about how he and his dad are best friends.

Activity: We discussed what a family is and how our families are special just like we are special.  The children chose cut outs to represent all the people and pets in their family and colored them.
